Happy first of May!

If anyone would like me to do a 3-card reading for them, just ask. (I use this deck.)

The Dagger: conflict and danger lie in wait
Seduction: passion and romance await
The Black Cat: your luck will soon change

Ahem, yes, well, your love life may be more interesting than you want. The Dagger's point is one often used by back-stabbers, a blade not easily seen ahead of time, you don't even know who's carrying one. The Black Cat is a risky animal, unstable in affection, and the change of luck it foretells is not always for the better. But it's hard to keep alert when you're in the throes of Seduction? Just do try to be careful out there.

Ha. Since I don't *have* a love life right now, I'll take a change.

Hmmm, maybe it's referring to something else you're being seduced by? :-) or, who knows, you may find someone in the coming month... though with these cards, you should think twice about keeping him!

1-7-18-20-34 / 7-9
(according to http://www.random.org/quick-pick/ )

I'll throw in the reading for free...

The Caduceus: you will receive news from afar
The Spider: be meticulous and patient
The Seer: follow your intuition

The Caduceus is a symbol for both the herald and the healer. Spiderwebs were once used to help open wounds to clot and heal, and baby spiders travel on parachutes of spidersilk, caught by the wind. Bind the wounds, wait for the right wind, and do what seems best.

That's actually very pertinant advice right now. And those numbers have no vibe. I'll keep them anyway, just in case.

I thought that way about the numbers, myself. Just too random. Won't we feel awful if they do win!

The King: authority and diplomacy
The Hourglass: time is of the essence
Love: true love and fidelity

The King is a wise man who knows that his position comes with great responsibility. It's not enough to issue decrees, they should be the right decrees at the right time phrased in the right way so that others will accept them with the minimum of difficulty. Sometimes though, he can't do that. He needs to act Now, before it's too late, without worrying about the other aspects. That, too, is what being a king is about: to take the burden of decision and action on oneself alone, when needed. It's okay. They'll still love you. :-)

I enjoy that the relevance of this reading is a 10 out of 10. I know that part of it is my ability to read myself into the reading, and I still enjoy it.

* I'm reading "First Things First," by Steven Covey and others, about the clock and the compass, so paying attention to time is big right now.
* I'm in a work situation with high opportunities for contribution to big efforts, where decisions and diplomacy are a big part of it.
* "They'll still love you" applies to my co-workers and managers who love my work, as well as family and friends.

Thank you. :-)

Hindrance: fate has blocked this path for you
Seduction: passion and romance await
Air: seek a union of mind & spirit

There's another card in the deck that's called The Gate, and for that one you need a key to get through. But Hindrance has no key. It's only a temporary obstacle, though. Look for a way around it, rise above it, be light as air and waft right through it (i.e., this isn't the time & place to have serious, down-to-earth discussions!) to get to those desires.

May I have a reading, please?
May. 2nd, 2009 04:15 am (UTC)
Of course you may!

Medusa: jealousy leads to downfall
The Stars: a long journey brings rewards
The Greenman: the forces of nature favor you

Sometimes, wanting what others have can motivate a person to make their own life better. But sometimes it eats away the soul and undermines the will, the unfairness of it all. Look up at the stars instead. Impersonal and far away, yet they soothe the soul and guide people on their journeys. Nature can somehow manage that trick of being more majestic than mere human concerns and yet feel welcoming, bringing you peace. You've a ways to go to reach your goals, but take the scenic route. Instead of fighting your way through a concrete jungle of general expectations, get out and smell the flowers, and you'll enjoy the journey so much more.
