When News Magazines Don't Quite Edit

From the November 13th "HealthDay" report on the U.S. News & World Report website, in an article titled "Traces of Corn Found in Almost All Fast Foods":

"By analyzing the biochemical makeup of the food, the researchers found that 100 percent and 93 percent of the cows responsible for the hamburgers and chicken sandwiches had lived on exclusively corn-based diets."

So the other 7% of the cows ate something that turned them and the 93% into chickens?

No,no,no - the cows are _responsible_ for the chicken sandwhiches. Which is scandalous, since if they are responsible for the chicken sandwhiches, don't you think that they should at some point have _tried_ the chicken sandwhiches?!?
