Long day

My right knee is having problems after having improved for a couple of years, and I can't pinpoint what went wrong again.  I've been using a cane on and off since Friday, which means I'm putting weight down my left arm, which is hurting the shoulder that's been sore on and off since the end of April.  Feh.

And I'm getting lots of questions that shouldn't need to be asked (or answered) from an analyst who's testing my application services for an incipient platform move.   The last set of questions had me simply pointing her to a page in the documentation where they was exactly answered.  What's draining is that it's documentation that she herself wrote last month.

What in the name of Jayzuz is an incipient platform move ?

Software (stuff like MS Word, or Solitaire) runs on hardware (Dell PC, HP laptop, Apple MacBook) through an operating system platform (Windows XP, Vista, Mac OS X). Our computer center is getting new hardware and in the process is also switching from Windows to Unix as the underlying platform for our software applications. Some things needed to be tweaked (MS Word doesn't run on OS X unless you specifically buy "MS Office for Mac"), and so everything is being re-tested.

Sorry to hear about the knee. I do know how that can feel, as I suffer the same thing with my ankles and feet at times.

Of course, in my case, the flare ups tend to be around this time of year, when the cold and dampness of winter start to set in.

Sorry to hear you have those hurts too! And, yeah, might be the time of year. *sigh* If so, I hope the body adjusts soon, because current situation is no fun at all.

Nope, definitely no fun at all.

Hope things improve on your end soon. :)

Sorry to hear about your knee. I agree with the people who said it might have something to do with the weather, if you have no idea what else could have triggered it. This week feels like the start of the really cold weather (I assume it's a bit colder where you are) and it seems like it came on suddenly without as much cool fall weather as other years. I'm the opposite--health problems get much worse in the summer. I think many aches and pains have more to do with the elements than we realize--temperature, humidity, mold and pollen counts, air pressure, etc.

Agreed! And what we eat, too, even when there's not as much obvious cause-effect as a true allergy. :-P
