It seems the only time I get on LJ these days is to read friends' posts and delete spam (it's screened so you're spared it), but this is another recipe worth saving/sharing.
28 oz. can of crushed tomatoes w/herbs, or add basic Italian herbs to plain crushed tomatoes
6 oz. can of tomato paste
6 to 8 oz. of Trader Joe's Eggplant-Garlic-Pepper spread, or any caponata
2 oz. tin of anchovies in olive oil, or 3 TB. anchovy paste
Mash anchovies, if not using paste, and mix everything together, including any oil from the tin. Heat. Use over pasta. It seems especially good for sturdy-flavored pasta such as whole grain or corn-based.
