Losing "Lost", or maybe "Lost" losing it

This says much of what I think and better than I ever could: http://yuki-onna.livejournal.com/583912.html

And what's with the throw-away deaths? Too long lingering on ones where we start squirming about what they didn't say and should have, and then, oh, yeah, still too many chars running around for the finale so let's kill off this one and this and this, practically (or actually) off-screen. This was supposed to be a character-driven show (that's its excuse for not being SF, right?). We were supposed to care about the chars, whether or not we did. Taking that assumption as true, could they really not spare enough time to give a little more weight to the endings? Instead of leaving us with a "say, what?! that's it?" and then a scurry to catch up with the next scene's dialogue in case there's another clue buried in it.

I'm really hoping they pull their shit together for the finale. In case they don't, I plan on having a drink handy.

Oh, I always have a drink handy. But I don't play "Jack-face", that would be too much.

This was a great blog, thank you for sharing.

As much as I have enjoyed LOST, this lead up to the end has PISSED ME OFF! The flippant way that the writers are all "HAH! You think we actually are going to answer the questions we created? Whatever, that wouldn't be 'LOSTIE' enough."

I want to take a hammer to them and erase their bank accounts all while saying "Hey! It's LOSTIE! Just take it cause apparently you feel it is OK to do this to your fans too!"

Glad you like the blog! She writes good books, too. ^_^

But, yeah, I'm dreading that the best part of the finale will be just that now they have to stop jerking our chains.
