Snowed In

The "3 to 5 inches of snow" for Sunday that was forecast a couple of days ago turned out to be much more on the actual day, so we kept indoors (except for the brave and noble ones who shoveled the driveway) and to ourselves, especially given all the exertion yesterday (and I will post about yesterday, tomorrow).

I didn't get out to do grocery shopping, so for dinner we had roast duck with a orange-maple-bourbon reduction sauce, and pesto ravioli with additional pesto, and chestnuts mashed with the duck drippings.  (To be fair, the duck had been planned, but I'd planned different accompaniments and sauce.)

For entertainment, more "Monster" for me, tabletop war-gaming for husband and son, and I finally got to (re-)watch the movie "Fame" with my daughter in honor/recognition of the music and performance classes she'll be taking spring term.

And we caught a young mole.  Upstairs.  In the second floor family room.

It's been very, VERY cold lately.  I guess burrowing through shag carpeting seemed easier than dealing with the frozen ground.
