Birthday Dinner

Today was my daughter's 18th birthday and she'd asked for her favorite food, pierogies, for dinner. Normally when we have them, her immediate reaction is "How many can we each have?" That was not asked tonight. I used 8 bags* of pierogies. The verbal reaction this time was "Holy sh*t!! That's a lot of pierogies!" Happy birthday. :-)

* - dear gods, no, I don't make them from scratch! I do my time by pan-frying the things at only 12 per batch, not to mention all those sauteed onions; I also made a very nice roasted corn, red pepper, tomato, and shallot medley for a side dish
